Guide › Going to a workshop › Paying & tickets
Step 5
Paying & getting your ticket
You've filled in the form — now the last stretch: check your order, pay if there's a fee, and get your ticket. It's shorter than it sounds, and at every point you can go back. Let's walk through it together.
Review your order
After the form you land on the checkout page. Across the top is a little progress bar with three steps, so you always know where you are: "Your details" → "Review & pay" → "Confirmation". You're on the middle one now.
In the main area you'll see "Your selections" — an itemised list of what you're signing up for — and a subtotal beneath it. A small note reads "Prices include VAT where applicable." (VAT is the sales tax; it's already counted in, so there's no surprise to add.) On the right sits an "Order summary" box with your Total and the pay button.
The pay button
What the button says depends on the workshop:
- For a paid workshop it reads "Pay {total} →" — with your actual total shown, for example "Pay €35.00 →".
- For a free workshop it reads "Complete registration →" instead, because there's nothing to pay.
If you spot something you'd like to change, there's a ‹ Back to edit button — nothing is locked in yet.
For paid orders a note says the payment is handled securely by a payment provider, and that you'll be redirected to complete it and returned here after. Depending on which one the organiser uses, that's Mollie or Stripe — both trusted, well-known companies that handle the card payment safely on the organiser's behalf. It's completely normal to leave the Yuimaru page for a moment, pay, and then be brought straight back — that's how it's meant to work. A few organisers arrange payment another way instead — then you'll see a note saying "The organizer will contact you about payment once your registration is accepted," rather than the redirect.
Each festival sets its own currency, and every price you see for that event — on the workshop, in the order summary, on the pay button and on your invoice — is in it. The examples in this guide use euros, but yours might read $35.00 or £35.00 instead.
If the workshop is free, there's no payment at all. Pressing Complete registration → skips straight to the success page and you're done.
After you pay: the result page
Once you've paid (or completed a free sign-up) you land on a result page. It shows one of four things, depending on how the payment went. Here's each one, so nothing catches you off guard.
1. Still checking
You may briefly see a spinner with "Confirming your payment…" and the words "Please don't close or refresh this window." This is just Yuimaru double-checking with the payment provider. It usually takes only a few seconds — sit tight and it moves on by itself.
2. Success — you're registered
The happy ending: a page saying "You're registered!" with your ticket code shown in a box and a Copy button to copy it. You'll also see Build my schedule → and Download ticket (PDF) buttons.
3. Pay by bank transfer
Some organisers ask you to pay straight from your bank instead of by card. Then you'll see "Almost there — pay by bank transfer." Your spot is already reserved, and you're shown an Amount, a Reference, and short instructions.
-
Log into your own bank
Open your bank's app or website the way you normally would to send money.
-
Send the exact Amount shown
Pay the exact amount on the page to the account details given — no more, no less, so it matches cleanly.
-
Copy the Reference into the message
Put the Reference code into the payment's message or description field. This is how the organiser matches your payment to your registration, so it matters.
A note reads "Your ticket is issued once the organizer confirms your payment." So after you send the transfer, your place stays reserved and your ticket appears once the organiser sees the money come in. Until then it shows as pending — that's expected, not a problem.
Pending4. It didn't work
If a card payment doesn't go through, you'll see "Payment didn't go through" and, reassuringly, "Your card wasn't charged." There are two buttons: Retry payment → to try again, and ‹ Back to review to look things over first. No money was taken — you can simply try again.
What the ticket code is for
Your ticket code is your proof that you have a place — a short code like YUI-7K3P-QX2M. Keep it somewhere handy. You don't have to memorise it, though: it also lives in "My schedule", so you can always come back and find it later.
Common questions
Is it safe to be sent to another site to pay?
What's a bank-transfer reference and where do I put it?
The Reference is a short code shown on the page. When you make the transfer in your bank, paste it into the payment's message or description field. It lets the organiser match your payment to your registration.
When do I get my ticket if I pay by bank transfer?
Your place is reserved as soon as you're shown the details. The ticket itself is issued once the organiser confirms they've received your payment, so it may take a little while after you send the money.
My payment failed — was I charged?
No. If you see "Payment didn't go through", your card wasn't charged. Just press "Retry payment →" to try again, or go back to review your order first.
Where do I find my ticket later?
In "My schedule". Your ticket code and details are stored there — open the registration any time to see them. See the next chapter for more.
