Guide › Going to a festival › Privacy & your data
Step 9
Privacy & your data
Your data is yours. The Security & privacy screen — under the Profile tab — lets you control what Acro Planner may do with it, get a copy of everything, or close your account for good.
Getting there
Open the Profile tab and tap Security & privacy. Everything below lives on that one screen.
Sign-in & passkeys
Your account is passwordless, secured by Hanko. Tap Manage sign-in to open your Hanko account, where you can add or remove passkeys, set two-factor sign-in, and manage your email. These live with Hanko, not inside Yuimaru.
A passkey is a secure key kept on your phone that confirms it's you with your fingerprint, face, or screen-lock — nothing to type or remember. Adding one makes signing in faster next time.
Privacy & consent
A set of switches lets you decide what your data is used for. The essentials — your login, registrations, and safety info — keep the app working and can't be turned off. The rest are yours to choose:
- Product analytics — anonymised usage that helps improve the app. Never sold.
- Marketing emails — occasional news about new festivals.
- Share with festival partners — let organisers of events you attend contact you directly.
There's no save button — flipping a switch is the decision, and it's stored on your account right away. The same switches appear on the website under Privacy & data, so a change in one place shows up in the other.
The festival's own data policy
Those switches are about Acro Planner itself. Every festival you register for also has its own, separate data policy: a list of each question on that festival's registration form, next to the reason the organiser gives for asking it. Organisers can't add a question without filling that reason in.
You can read it before you register, and without signing in. Scroll to the bottom of a festival's programme and tap How this event uses your data. It's the same document the privacy tick-box links to while you're filling in the form.
Afterwards, the copy you accepted is kept on My registration, under "The data policy you accepted", with the date you accepted it.
Your copy stays as it read on the day you signed up — that's what you actually agreed to. If the form has been edited since, the screen says so and adds a second link to the current version.
Get a copy of your data
Under Your data, tap Request data export. We'll gather your profile, registrations, and message history and email you a download link — usually within 48 hours. When it's ready, a Download export button appears here too.
Delete your account
If you want to leave, tap Delete account and type
DELETE to confirm. This erases your profile, registrations, and
messages. Records we're legally required to keep are anonymised. It can't be
undone.
Your account is scheduled for deletion, so there's a window to change your mind: tap Keep my account to cancel while it's still pending. After that, it's gone for good.
Common questions
How do I add a passkey?
Tap Manage sign-in under Security & privacy. That opens your Hanko account, where passkeys, two-factor, and email are managed.
What's in my data export?
Your profile, your registrations, and your message history, in a portable format. A download link is emailed to you, usually within 48 hours.
Can I undo deleting my account?
Only while it's still scheduled. During that window a Keep my account button lets you cancel. Once the deletion runs, it can't be reversed.
Who can see the workshops I've saved?
Nobody, unless you share them. Your plan is private to you until you share it with another attendee of the same festival by email — and you can stop at any time. See Sharing your plan.
What does this festival do with my answers?
That's the organiser's own data policy, separate from Acro Planner's. Scroll to the bottom of the festival's programme and tap How this event uses your data — no sign-in needed. It lists every registration question with the reason the organiser gave for asking it. The copy you accepted when you registered is kept on My registration.
Do you sell my data?
No. Analytics are anonymised and never sold, and sharing with festival partners only happens if you switch it on.
